Bereavement

This body of work focuses on losing a loved one at a young age, and how it has an impact on childhood and family life. These works represent the cherished memories with a lost loved one. Family images are often the last possessions that someone has to remember their loved ones. Through this body of work, I open a dialogue about death to learn and connect with other individuals and their experiences. Death is a natural aspect of life, that is often classified as a taboo subject. Bereavement intends for the viewer to reflect on their own memories with their passed loved ones, and remember the impact that they left on their life.
